Maytag's purse is stolen, but Britannus stops the thief.
He returns it to her, and takes an interest in the shy, pretty
young girl. He invites her to dinner, and she accepts.
But he seems to want more than just dinner.

| Chapter 2 |

"The Double Date"
Britannus soon learns that Maytag is no ordinary girl. She
drags him to a seedy nightclub, and Britannus gets mixed up
with some violent women. Unfortunetly for all of them,
a gang war suddenly breaks out!

| Chapter 3 |

 |
"Bernadette vs. The Assassins"
Bernadette is alone in her room, when she is suddenly
disturbed by a trio of women. They claim to be assassins.
Their leader Ashley challenges Bernadette, who is forced
to draw swords and defend herself.

| Chapter 4 |

 |
"Ashley's Pride"
Ashley is very confident in her ability. But as the two
swordswomen duel, Ashley soon learns that she is badly
outmatched. She is baffled, but refuses help from her friends.
Desperately she continues her attack against Bernadette.

"The Sorcerer's Offer"
Worried about the assassination attempt, Maytag and
Bernadette decide to leave town. Conveniently, they meet
Seraph, a sorcerer who wants to hire Bernadette as his
bodygaurd. However, Bernadette is suspicious...

| Chapter 6 |

 |
"Setting off on the Road to Adventure!"
Maytag meets Regina, a shy sorceress and one of Seraph's
students. Together, the six of them set off for Lasko temple,
so that Regina can take her dissolving test. However,
another student named Moss doubts that Regina can pass.

| Chapter 7 |
|
 |
"Insult and Injury"
On their way to Lasko Temple, the group makes camp for the
night. When the opportunity arises, Moss cruelly insults
Regina. Having taken a liking to the young girl, Maytag
comes to her defense. Moss then turns on Maytag.
|

| Chapter 8 |
|
 |
"The Eternal Flame"
Lying beside the firelight, Maytag and Regina talk. It seems
Regina has a crush on Lucient, Seraph's handsome young
assistant. The next day, the group arrives at Lasko Temple.
It is a dark and lonely place. Something is watching them.

| Chapter 9 |

"The Dissolving Test"
Regina steps into the Eternal Flame. She finds herself in an
unexpected place, and she is not alone. Meanwhile, Seraph
wanders off on his own business, telling the others to stay
put. While he is gone, a strange creature suddenly attacks.

| Chapter 10 |
|
 |
"Enshrouded in Darkness"
Regina comes to the final part of her test, which proves to
be very hard on her. She cries tears of humiliation and
despair. Meanwhile, Maytag confronts the strange creature.
She has a plan, but...

| Chapter 11 |
|
 |
"Victims in Threes"
Seraph returns to discover a crying Bernadette is the only
one left. He attempts to destroy the creature but fails.
Sorcery will not work against it. Bernadette must pull herself
together, as she is the only one who can kill the creature.

| Chapter 12 |
|
 |
"The Potion of Possession"
The group rests at the small town of Cornfeather. Maytag
attempts to comfort Regina, who is very depressed.
As the two of them talk, Maytag has a radical idea of
how she could help Regina. Surprisngly, Regina agrees.

| Chapter 13 |
|
 |
"Possession Confession"
Maytag, "in disguise," meets with Lucient. As they talk,
she plays her part perfectly, but when the question is
finally posed, Maytag is perplexed by the answer. When
she later sees Seraph, she is unable to control her anger.

| Chapter 14 |

 |
"8-Tailed Warning"
The companions are interrupted at lunch by a mysterious
woman. She brings warnings which shed new light upon
Seraph. But is this woman trustworthy...? Maytag's insight
proves to be invaluable. And who is the "Man-Eater?"

| Chapter 15 |

"Night-Meeting in the Sorceress's Bed-Chamber"
Seraph reveals the truth about Noventia, and Bernadette
agrees to protect him from the Man-Eater. The companions
take refuge in a castle. While Bernadette awaits her fight,
Regina is surprised by a visitor at her door...

"Man-Eating"
The Man-Eater's assault commences, and no man can stand
in her way. Bernadette is the last line of defense. But when
they come face to face, Bernadette is shocked to discover
that the Man-Eater is an old friend...

"The Battle of Old Friends"
Having no choice, the two women reluctantly duel.
Although Bernadette's "Split-Rose" sword technique gives
her the advantage in a 1 on 1 fight, Clairen is a very
rescourceful fighter, with a counter strategy of her own...

"Many Plans Come to Fruition"
Clairen's ability to fight has been laid to rest... but that's not
good enough for Seraph. He wants her dead. Bernadette
of course will not allow it. There is a struggle... and then...
suddenly more unexpected guests arrive...

"The Punishment Room"
Maytag and Seraph have been taken far away, prisoners
in a strange and disturbing place. Bernadette's only clue is a
note, left behind by the kidnapper. It claims Maytag will not
be harmed... but can Bernadette trust this?

"Cheated"
Noventia finally has what she wants... Seraph is at her mercy.
The torture begins, and yet it proves to me a more daunting
task than expected. Maytag desperately wants to escape this
situation... but will her nemesis, Moss, allow it?

"Lovers' Suicide"
Two ex-lovers find themselves locked in an inevitable battle
to the death... a sorcerer's duel where the violence is fueled
by the darkest of emotions. For Seraph and Noventia, there
is no turning back. Will there be any escape for Maytag...?

"A Symbol of Strength"
Maytag and Moss find themselves in an unexpectated
situation. It is one that Moss does not know how to handle...

Solstice, Maytag lounges around the city, looking for
something to occupy her time. She happens accrossed

Maytag spends the night with the dancer Umber, and
her husband. The next morning, she slips away quietly...
to her surprise she is promptly found. Umber has an
interesting proposal for Maytag...

The group finally reunites, only to find that they must soon
split up again. Maytag and Regina spend thier last night
together. And then Maytag asks Bernadette a question...
