Skills: Master of the "Split Rose" sword technique. Legendary tolerance to alcohol. Hobbies: Bernadette enjoys drinking quite a bit, however she never gets drunk due to her monsterous tolerance. She tends to prefer quiet activities, like staying at home and reading a book. She practices her art, swordfighting, daily. Personality: Bernadette is sort of like the strong and silent type. She tends to be a bit distant with people she doesn't know very well... however, once you get to know her she has a warm and friendly personality. She's fairly easy to get along with in general, as long as you don't get on her bad side. Bernadette is very caring and compassionate, and absolutely hates to kill, however the conflicts with the fact that she enjoys sword-fighting. She seems to harbor some sort of guilt over events in her past, and refuses to talk about it. Bernadette's speech has a dignified, simple sort of elegance to it. She doesn't act like she's above people, but she can be a bit of a nag at times, especially towards Maytag. However, she's more loosened up and relaxed around Maytag as well. Sword Techniques: Bernadette's primary fighting style is called the "Split Rose." It's a fairly ancient style that isn't practiced anymore in the present world of Flipside, and most fighters are unaware of it. It's an unusual style of fighting in that the fighter uses two swords at once to fight defensively, focusing mainly on blocks and counter-attacks. The disadvantage to this style is that a lot of concentration is required, and mistakes are very costly. However, a master is near-invincible in duels, and Bernadette is nearly a master.
